We Are Family! (Or...a few pics from Thanksgiving)

Sisters!
With Monica... She was our foreign exchange student that lived with us 21 years ago! She has been wonderful about keeping in touch with us and coming over every few years for visits. She's our Spanish sister!

Return: Volver

On Thursday, Rebeca (our summer nanny) will be returning to Spain to continue her university studies. What a fun summer we've had with her here! We took advantage of overcast skies and cooler temperatures today to do a photo shoot with her and the boys. Rebeca, thank you so much for all you've done for us this summer! You were wonderful with the boys and a great friend to me! We love you and will miss you so much!!!

Jeremy and Zachary Day!!!

A year ago today, our sons were placed in our arms and we became a family!

And here we are, one year later! What a difference a year makes!

Jeremy and Zachary, we love you so much! You brighten up our world so much, and it's hard to remember our lives without you! We're so glad that God placed you in our family. Hearing you call us Mama and Daddy is brings us so much joy! Happy Jeremy and Zachary Day!!!

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! We have had such a fun day today. Nana came over last night and spent the night, and all of us went to a local kiddie water park this morning with the boys. It was nice and warm, but not too crowded, and the boys had a great time splashing in the water. So did we adults!

Here are a few pics of my All-American Ethiopian baby and me wearing our patriotic colors! Oh, how I love this boy!!!

I'm feeling very thankful for my precious family, and I'm thrilled that my aunt and uncle and two cousins will soon be moving to Houston from Florida...our local clan is growing!

I'm also thankful today for those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to give me and my family the freedoms we so enjoy (and quite frankly take for granted). God Bless America!
