We're in Ethiopia!

We arrived safe and sound in Addis Ababa and were met by a Gladney staff woman named Genet and our driver Solomon (he is from Tigray--the same region as our boys)! They took us to the guest house to drop off our stuff, and then Solomon took Brian and me on a drive up Entonto mountain and we saw views of the city, breathed in eucalyptus scented air, saw the oldest Orthodox church in ET, and toured a museum at the church. The pizza for a late lunch, and now we're back at the guest house. Brian is napping and I'm taking advantage of the computer at our guest house that has an internet connection. YEA!!!

We get to meet the boys first thing tomorrow morning at 9:30. We'll spend an hour with them, and then Solomon will drive us outside the city to see a bit of the countryside around the city, and we may visit the national museum. So far, so fun!

Yay! You have Solomon as your driver--and friend for life I might add. Please please please give him love from Kat, Stacy & the twins... tell him Gebremeskel and Weletemichael are RUNNING everywhere and talking up a storm. Tell him we miss him and every night pray that God Blesses "uncle solomon." Good luck meeting your boys...it's an amazing moment. -Kat
